I hope everyone is posting this feedback together. I also don't agree with it. It looks overly saturated and seems like the icons were made for a 16-color screen.

Except for the color, the folder icon looks good.

Colour seems a bit too strong, but I'm sure it will improve in the final version!

I share the same view as everyone here. The colors seem off; they’d benefit from minor adjustments. The layout works well, but I’d like the palette to shift slightly. Adding gradients would enhance it, and making the items a bit more intricate would improve the overall feel. Overall, the design is solid.

It's irrelevant. You're free to replace them as you see fit.

I focus on efficiency since spending 2-3 hours each time is too long after reinstalling Windows. Many people don’t know how to navigate the registry, so they think you’re not capable, which makes the operating system less appealing. If users perceive the OS as uninviting, they’ll steer clear. Windows 8 serves as an example. Few have actually tried it, and sales data shows limited interest. The reason? It feels strange and off-putting. No one cares about small conveniences like free bacon in the morning—people avoid it. Evidence: Linux-based systems perform better. To be clear, I’m not claiming icons will end Windows 10, but they won’t help either.

@well, you're correct. A visually appealing interface makes a bigger difference than functionality alone.

It doesn’t require hours or registry access to make changes. Many tools make installing icon packs simple. I probably don’t see the need if folders remain folders. Ultimately it depends on personal preference, and I was just getting rid of mine.

Search for appealing icons that don’t surpass the current design, then locate a full matching collection for each one.
