Looking for a gigabit switch to link your NAS and laptop, which is already on Wi-Fi. The product you shared is an unshielded LiteWave gigabit switch.

It's fast and looks stable, with no obvious issues preventing you from getting it.

I own three switches with eight ports from TP-link, working well for years. The only one that stopped was a Netgear (probably), which I swapped out for another TP-link. Honestly, I got a full refund on the faulty unit even though it had been in use for over two to three years—thanks to Amazon.

In cooler regions, plastic enclosures work fine. For a slight extra cost, the TL-SG108 offers a metal casing to improve heat management. Network equipment without fans requires strong cooling solutions.

I understand your perspective. Since my usual environment is decent, the plastic option seems acceptable, though I might opt for the metal one. However, I find the plastic version more appealing.
