Hey there! I'm assembling a gaming PC that mainly focuses on gaming—big titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, GTA, Baldur’s Gate 3, plus some VR in the future. I’ll also handle light multitasking, web browsing, and basic photo editing. I’m not after the absolute top-tier hardware; just reliable performance that can run modern games at high settings without overheating.

Here’s what I’ve gathered so far:

PCPartPicker Part List:

Component
Details
Price
CPU
AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5 GHz 8-Core Processor
$265.20 @ Amazon
CPU Cooler
be quiet! Pure Rock 2 Black CPU Cooler
$44.90 @ Amazon
Motherboard
MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5
$139.99 @ MSI
Memory
Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
$90.89 @ Amazon
Storage 1
Kingston NV2 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD
$54.99 @ Amazon
Storage 2
Crucial P3 Plus 2 TB M.2 NVMe SSD
$112.00 @ iBUYPOWER
Case
NZXT H7 Flow RGB (2023) ATX Mid Tower
$89.99 @ Amazon
PSU
Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular
$99.98 @ Amazon
OS
Windows 11 Home OEM 64-bit
$119.99 @ Amazon
Speakers
Creative Labs Pebble 2.0 4.4 W
$18.99 @ Lenovo
GPU
ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4070 Super EVO White OC Edition (12GB GDDR6X, DLSS 3, etc.)
$629.99 @ Amazon

Total Cost:
$1666.91 (as of 11/30/2024)

This setup stays well within my $5K budget, and I’m planning to complete it soon—not just for Black Friday sales. I’ll also be checking out monitors at Micro Center soon, especially ones that suit both gaming and everyday tasks. A good one would help with eye comfort since I wear glasses.

Feedback welcome:
Are there any areas that could be improved or overlooked? Could liquid cooling add value?
Is this investment worth it for cooling performance?
I’m not certain if I need it, but I’m open to it if it makes sense.
Any suggestions for monitors? I want something great for gaming with sharp visuals, plus comfortable for multitasking and light photo work.

Looking at a 5000 budget, questioning the actual amount needed. Would you decline spending 2000 or 2500?

I believe this monitor has some better options available, but I bought one from Microcenter a few weeks ago during a sale, and I'm quite satisfied with the price. The color quality is good in my opinion.
