Reduced energy usage observed on GTX 980 following optimization.
I was adjusting my MSI GTX 980 4G overclocking and still achieving around 70 degrees. After increasing the clocks further, the drivers stopped working. I reset them to their original settings before the crash and everything functioned normally again. Raising the clocks slightly more now keeps power usage under 43% TPD. Any advice?
To achieve stability while overclocking, you need to increase the voltage. This leads to higher power consumption and increased heat generation. What voltage are you currently applying?
