Hello, I'm using a Ryzen 7 3700X with a 2060 Super and experiencing high temperatures on both the CPU and GPU while playing games like Cyberpunk 2077. The temps rise from around 70°C to about 80°C after a few minutes of gameplay. I've adjusted the AMD Ryzen High Performance power plan to 80% max instead of the default 100%. Is this safe for my system and the game? My aim is to reduce CPU heat, ideally lowering GPU temps too so I can use the PC longer without issues. Thanks for your help!

Yes, that is safe to do. It will reduce your performance, though. A better option would be to somehow improve the airflow in your case. Maybe turning your fans up, installing new fans, cleaning out the dust, or a combination thereof.

80C on the GPU works well. 80C on the CPU is acceptable too, though it's a bit close to the limit. Make sure the cooler fits well with the CPU and reapply thermal paste if needed. Examine the case's airflow—balance between intake and exhaust fans is important. A single front fan and one rear fan won't be sufficient.
