Long story short, I wanted to buy 16 GB of ram, 3200MHz to be exact, and after installing the new ram sticks, my pc kept shutting off but not powering back on and as i play any game for a short period of time, it just cuts off completely. So I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not but i just keep downgrading the speed on the ram to see which one works better with my MOBO.
Check your motherboard and processor. Since you might have defective RAM, consider initiating a return merchandise authorization.
