Hi. I recently sold my old Radeon 6770 1gb GPU from ASUS on eBay. After a week, I received a refund request. The reason given is seeing fluorescent textures at random times while playing games, suggesting possible damage. How can I verify if the issue wasn't caused by me? Should I request a free diagnostic report? Could this be related to overclocking? It was functioning properly before and I didn’t enable overclocking. Please help.

Short of having him execute a free benchmark with GPU-z or run MSI Afterburner to verify the stock performance and record it in video, there is now a reliable method to confirm he overclocked the card and caused damage. If the device fails, the only hope is that the returned item doesn’t match the photos you captured, allowing you to file a claim on eBay with evidence.

It will be difficult to confirm anything, and unless you captured photos of the card and any stickers on it, you might not be certain you’re getting your card back.
I’ve heard about some questionable practices from buyers before, and it often seems like the seller ends up in trouble with Ebay.

He might not have cleared the old GPU drivers in Safe Mode prior to the installation. It could be worth considering doing so. However, those flashing sounds resemble behavior associated with a corrupted OC setting.
