Hello, I own a Unraid 6.9.2 server. It experienced a power outage and all my shares were lost. At first it looked like the data remained because the hard drives were still filled (refer to below). We searched for the files in the terminal but couldn't find anything. We also noticed my CPU was running at 50-100% usage. Checked via pining, and Xmrig (a crypto miner) was consuming the processor. I’m puzzled—how could this happen? I use Xmrig on my PC where I accessed the server and it was on the same network. My friend suggested someone might have hacked in and erased all my data. I’m unsure if this is true, but I don’t understand how they could delete everything without leaving any logs. Could you suggest other ways to verify if my data is still present?

The process is straightforward. Use TestDisk to check for recovery options. Ensure your unRAID setup isn’t connected to the internet. Review Docker containers and perform standard security updates.
