I've faced a series of unfortunate events and unknowingly added harmful software to my PC, forcing me to reinstall Windows. To avoid such a situation again, I'd like an automatic full backup of the C: drive every few days. The backed-up files should also include protection against corruption from viruses and similar threats. Since I'm unfamiliar with this topic, any advice on choosing the right hard drive or software would be greatly appreciated. Features like selective file backup are nice but not essential.
I chose deepfreeze to safeguard my data and games. It's been more than eight years since I started using it. I keep everything on separate drives and partitions. Locking the C: drive makes changes safe, especially when testing new software. If it doesn't fit my needs, I simply restart the PC and everything returns to its original state.
