I'm planning to set up a new system soon, which will require a lot of power. He wants a PSU with 1000 watts and PCI-E 5.0 support. Anyone have suggestions for something affordable in the UK? Thanks.

Just a brief inquiry—does this PSU accommodate older graphics cards while you plan to use a GeForce 1080 until you can upgrade to a 4080?

you need to provide the specs for the pc before any meaningful recommendation can be made. 1000w may be enough or it may be too little. best to know BEFORE buying.
just to be sure, please list the FULL specs for this build so can be sure you know what you really need. does not make sense to me why you are building it yet he is telling you how much psu it needs without you questioning it. ......

I understand you're looking for advice on selecting a PSU for your project. Just to confirm, you're considering a 1000-watt power supply and need a recommendation. Thanks!
