Hi,
I set up my gaming PC in 2017 with these specifications: 1060 6gb, i5 7600k, 16 gb DDR4 2133 Mhz RAM, 128 gb Intenso SSD, and a 1 tb WD HDD. Everything worked fine until recently, except for a virus a while back. I had to reset the system. Now I mainly play Gta 5 and experience frequent lag spikes. Normally I run at about 70 Fps, but it drops suddenly to 30 Fps or less without any obvious cause. This happens randomly—like opening the map and the game becomes unplayable. My PC also struggles with rendering the world, especially during driving or flying. The textures look blurry or are completely missing. I ran a malware scan with Malwarebytes and found nothing, but it lowered texture quality. What part of my PC might be causing these issues and how can I fix them?

Have you attempted to reinstall the game? (the process would take that amount of time)

It's not loading textures correctly. As discussed earlier, consider reinstalling the game or checking the game cache (for Steam) and see if that resolves the issue. Also, run crystaldiskinfo or HDD sentinel to check for any SMART errors on the HDD. It might not fit on your SSD, but using another HDD could work.

Consider reverting your graphics driver to a previous version, as there might be an update issue with your card.

The optimal approach would be to consider your options carefully.

Open the device manager, show adapters, pick your graphics card, go to properties, choose driver, and then revert the driver. If you removed previous drivers, you can get older versions from AMD or NVidia's site.

Get the desired install file from the Nvidia site.
Execute DDU (display driver uninstaller).
Proceed with installing the version you saved in step 1.
