Recently constructed PC behaving oddly on Discord and web browsers during gameplay
Video ID 20241110_015939 (1).mp4 shows some issues with Discord. Recently built PC has been stable, but occasional freezes occur in the browser (Chrome XD). Sometimes typing appears without any visible input, then it unfreezes after a short delay. Similar behavior happens when scrolling or moving the mouse across the screen. It seems to be more noticeable when background games are running, possibly related to something like Medal.tv. The problem isn’t severe but bothers me. Need advice on resolving it. System details: Windows 11 Pro 24H2, Ryzen 9 7900X, 32GB RAM, Zotac graphics, Corsair power supply, and a B650 motherboard.
Try another browser and check for consistency. The screen capture might be capturing the infinite mirror effect during recording. Are you playing games in exclusive full-screen or full-screen-with-a-window setup? Running it in a windowed full-screen mode could alter the behavior even if it doesn’t fix the issue. EDIT: It seems Firefox is likely the best option since most others are Chromium-based and may share similar problems. May differ, but it’s usually the most distinct. I was recording while my friend shared his screen at the same time as me. The glitch only shows up to others when they're watching my screenshare. It works well on my laptop, but I'm not sure about fullscreen windows on a second monitor. I might test it out to see if it improves things. Firefox is fine for me, though—I'm also using Discord and it sometimes causes issues there. I'll check it out.
It seems the issue might have been caused by running low on VRAM during GPU use.
