I’m looking for some comforting memories, so I’m trying to get Cod 4 from 2007 running again. It starts okay but then jumps to 640x440. When I change it to 2560x1440 the game freezes and won’t respond. I’m wondering if this version wasn’t built for that resolution. I reset it and tried 1080p, but the same issue happens. Raising the resolution a bit didn’t help either. I’ve reinstalled, adjusted Steam settings, but nothing works. Any suggestions on how to fix this so the game runs smoothly at a higher resolution? I still remember playing it on my first PC around 2010 at 1600x900 without problems. Even tweaking the sound volume and pressing apply didn’t change the outcome. It’s really confusing.
