I've owned a Samsung 49" Odyssey OLED G95SC since its release, and I'm experiencing some issues. This isn't my first time with an ultrawide monitor, so it might just be a mistake. My system runs an i7 10700k, MSI RTX 3070 Ti gaming edition, and has 32GB of RAM on Windows 10. At 5120x1440 resolution via DisplayPort, the experience is terrible—screen tearing is common. Watching something simple like a Google document or a YouTube video causes the screen to shake and tear. With HDMI connections, I occasionally see static. Interestingly, when I have two cables from my GPU—one DisplayPort and one HDMI—I function properly at 2560x1440. I've tried resetting the drivers in safe mode, updating everything, switching ports and cables, but nothing seems to help. I'm unsure what else to try. Since it works fine in a Samsung hub with an Xbox running at 2650x1440, and my GPU is connected with multiple cables and multi-window settings, what could be the cause? Is the RTX 3070 Ti not powerful enough for native full resolution? Could any of the cables I'm using be faulty, including the one Samsung supplies and the one I use on my 10700k setup? Or might Windows 10 just behave strangely? This is really confusing. Screen freak out.mp4
