Hey everyone, I just wrapped up my initial setup! My first attempt turned out perfectly – everything went smoothly, at least for now... Here’s what I’ve got installed: Windows 10 Home 64-bit, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, MSI MAG X670e, Tomahawk Zotac 4060 Ti, 16GB Phanteks Glacier One, 280MP 32GB DDR5 RAM, and a 6000G.Skills Trident Z 6 cooler with two MF140 fans. I’m using a Thermaltake Core P6 case and a couple of Corsair PSUs (the old ones from my previous build). For power, I have a 2x 1TB Samsung SSD and a Core P6 case. My speakers are JBL Quantum Duo and a Core P6 headset. I also connected a 6000W PSU from my old rig, which is pretty powerful.

I got excited this morning to start testing, but the moment I powered it up, I heard this odd noise – like a looped audio recording mixed with wind and water sounds. It lasts about 45 seconds to a minute before repeating endlessly. This happens with both my Quantum One and Quantum Duo, even though they’re connected via USB 3. The sound is consistent whether I play music or just the static winter ambiance.

I’ve tried everything: turning devices on/off, changing ports, restarting the system. Nothing worked. It only stops when I first log in to Windows, then resumes at the login screen. I’ve spent over 20 years working with audio systems – even studied Sound Design for Visual Media – and this is completely new.

I’m really frustrated because it’s so unusual. I can’t describe it clearly, but it feels like the internal sound of the pump is being played back over and over. It sounds very distinct, almost like a continuous loop. The issue also shows up with my 3.5mm audio jack when using AT H-M50x headphones. It seems all audio devices are picking up this strange sound and repeating it.

The computer runs almost silently without any speakers or headsets connected. I really need someone to help me figure this out – any advice would mean a lot! Thanks a ton!

It seems there might be an issue with the motherboard causing problems for both USB and AUX connections. Have you checked if your monitor has speakers or a mini-jack to verify audio through HDMI or DP? Also, is it connected to a TV?

I believe I found a solution. I turned off all startup programs and focused on the MSI Mystic Light’s Ambient Link feature, which manages my nanoleaf lights. Each time I activated it, the noise would return and then disappear when I stopped using it. This morning it worked fine, but it hasn’t come back after gaming or other activities. Hopefully it remains that way!
