I recently switched from Ryzen 3200G and RX 580 to Ryzen 5600X and an RTX 4060. I used DDU before setting up, but I'm experiencing frequent crashes to desktop in most games.

In CryEngine titles I encounter the error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG every 30 minutes or so, while in Unreal Engine games I see a crash dump message.

I'm facing the following:
GPU Crash dump Triggered
FactoryGameSteam_D3D12RHI_Win64_Shipping!D3D12RHI::TerminateOnGPUCrash() [D:\BuildAgent\work\SM_BT\UE4\Engine\Source\Runtime\D3D12RHI\Private\D3D12Util.cpp:875]
FactoryGameSteam_D3D12RHI_Win64_Shipping!D3D12RHI::VerifyD3D12Result() [D:\BuildAgent\work\SM_BT\UE4\Engine\Source\Runtime\D3D12RHI\Private\D3D12Util.cpp:901]

perator()() [D:\BuildAgent\work\SM_BT\UE4\Engine\Source\Runtime\D3D12RHI\Private\D3D12Submission.cpp:984]
FactoryGameSteam_D3D12RHI_Win64_Shipping!FD3D12DynamicRHI::ForEachQueue() [D:\BuildAgent\work\SM_BT\UE4\Engine\Source\Runtime\D3D12RHI\Private\D3D12RHI.cpp:286]

rocessInterruptQueue() [D:\BuildAgent\work\SM_BT\UE4\Engine\Source\Runtime\D3D12RHI\Private\D3D12Submission.cpp:1147]
FactoryGameSteam_D3D12RHI_Win64_Shipping!FD3D12Thread::Run() [D:\BuildAgent\work\SM_BT\UE4\Engine\Source\Runtime\D3D12RHI\Private\D3D12Submission.cpp:97]
FactoryGameSteam_Core_Win64_Shipping!FRunnableThreadWin::Run() [D:\BuildAgent\work\SM_BT\UE4\Engine\Source\Runtime\Core\Private\Windows\WindowsRunnableThread.cpp:149
All references point to the GPU.

I've performed a fresh Windows 10 installation, updated the latest game drivers, and rolled back some versions, but the issue persists. It seems unrelated to power supply concerns since my RX 580 was drawing more power and functioning properly. RDR2 runs well with increased settings. If anyone has advice or leads, I'd appreciate it.

Latest BIOS updates? BIOS reset is occasionally required to remove outdated configurations. I'm concerned about the PCIe settings since the CPU and GPU together have undergone several adjustments. The old x16 GPU is running at 8x PCIe 3.0. The new 8x GPU is currently at an unknown speed. It depends on the motherboard capabilities for the 5600X, but with only an 8x card, a lower chipset might limit it back to 8x 3.0, which isn't ideal, especially if VRAM constraints arise. DX12 errors could occur if the games support Vulkan, which might be worth trying as a fix.

Hey there,
Are you asking about the RTX model and whether it's new or used? Also, which specific power supply are we referring to, and how old is it?

Recent updates to Nvidia drivers have also been linked to problems with older cards. Consider using a driver from before the 50 series release.
