Recently at Goodwill I discovered a decent condition Thrustmaster T80 wheel and pedal set for just ten dollars. I’ve always been interested in wheels and pedals but didn’t want to spend much. Technically the wheel is designed for PS3 and PS4, yet it seems compatible with PC too. I installed it in BeamNG Drive using a driver from the Thrustmaster site and everything worked fine. The Game Controller setup in Control Center accurately recognized all its movements and buttons. However, when I tried using it in Forza Horizon 4 it didn’t function properly. The controls menu tab lacked an option for a wheel, and even with a custom controller mapping it failed to detect any wheel or pedal inputs. It’s not a major issue since it was affordable, but it would be nice if it worked on Xbox games on PC. Thanks in advance! I originally posted this a few days ago but no one replied, so it got lost. Hope you find it useful!

PC Forza games have some unusual wheel designs, particularly when they aren't Xbox or PC-exclusive. My brother Thrustmaster played on his PS4 console before switching to a PC-specific wheel, and he noticed similar behavior in Forza—likely due to button mapping issues. I believe there might be software available to adjust these settings, but I tested using an Xbox controller for navigation while playing.

I thought that was the idea, but it turned out to be tricky. I attempted to pair it with a keyboard and mouse for navigation, but the wheel wasn’t detected at all. Nothing to worry about.
