I appreciate your response. It seems my concern was validated after a visit to Best Buy. The new 2TB Samsung NVMe SSD arrived, and the installation went smoothly until the system froze. I suspect a hardware issue occurred during setup. When trying to format it in the second M.2 slot, the computer displayed a blue screen repeatedly.
