Hey there! Welcome to the forum. You're just starting out with PC building, which is awesome. Your setup sounds solid with the Ryzen 1600AF, good RAM, and a decent GPU. After some changes, you ran into a tough issue with the boot process and BIOS access. Here’s what you can try:
1. **Check Power Supply** – Make sure everything is properly connected and the PSU is delivering enough power.
2. **Verify Connections** – Double-check all cables, especially the SATA and USB ports.
3. **Try a Different RAM Slot** – If possible, swap the RAM to another slot to rule out a faulty module.
4. **Update BIOS Manually** – Some users bypass BIOS by using a bootable USB or adjusting BIOS settings via command line (UEFI).
5. **Reset BIOS** – If you have access, reset it to default and see if the issue persists.
6. **Check for Hardware Issues** – Sometimes faulty RAM or GPU can cause boot problems; test with another unit if needed.
If you can’t access the BIOS, focus on ensuring all components are stable and try booting from a known-good USB drive. Let me know what you find next!
I placed the RAM in the preferred slots as shown on the motherboard—specifically 2a and 2b. I took out the second one, but it was still the same.
