Assisted a colleague in getting their new system operational. Built it together this evening. The specs are: Ryzen 5600X MSI B550 PRO-VDH Wifi Samsung Evo 970 1TB EVGA XC3 Ultra GTX 3070ti Corsair RM750 Silicon Power Value Gaming 32GB DDR4. After installing Windows and starting apps/games (Corsair iCue, Steam, Epic, etc.), the PC randomly restarts. Initially suspected temperature or power issues. Once up, ran Aida 64 and Furmark for stress tests; performance stayed stable for over five minutes with CPU under 75°C and GPU below 60°C. After stopping the stress tests, the system rebooted without errors. Believed it might be a BIOS update, so I applied the latest one, but the problem worsened. Seeking advice on identifying the faulty component.

I don't see any BSOD codes or messages listed in your request. Could you provide the specific details or error messages you're encountering? This will help me assist you more accurately.

No issue, we see a black screen then it restarts as if powered off, with BIOS splash, loading windows, and logging in.

It seems there might be a power-related concern during game loading. For a 3070ti with 750W, it's within the typical range for sustained performance.

I understand your point, but testing furmark and aida64 for five minutes didn’t trigger a crash, yet loading a game afterward did. Now it’s failing just after login and occasionally during startup. It might be a bad power supply, but are there other ways to verify? If necessary, we can try using the PSU you already know works well—see how that performs (seasoning 850 watts from 2018).

After replacing every part, we focused on the CPU or motherboard. We decided to try a new board at Best Buy, which turned out to be the right choice. Once installed, everything worked fine, though the initial board was disappointing.
