Only four justifications exist for updating a BIOS: security patches, new functionality requirements, existing issues like faulty sleep modes or Ryzen 7000 problems, and compatibility upgrades to newer CPUs. In most cases, the performance gains are limited, typically only a few percentage points, and noticeable differences are rare.
