You can check your BIOS updates by accessing the BIOS setup menu during boot. Look for a section labeled "BIOS Updates," "Upgrade BIOS," or similar. If you're using Windows 8.1, ensure your system is running the latest BIOS version compatible with your hardware. Also verify that your power button and fan controls are functioning properly, as issues there can mimic hardware problems. If the problem persists after checking updates, consider consulting a technician or checking for firmware issues specific to your motherboard model.

I don’t recognize the name from the image. Could you provide more details or a description?

Review power configurations in BIOS. Verify if S3 and S4 are active. Disabling fast boot in Windows might make a difference. If you can find the model name on the motherboard, it will simplify locating and updating the BIOS. It usually isn't needed to flash the board for this adjustment. For instance, this unit is labeled MCP61M-M3 (v1.0)

It's a fairly old model, but the name looks strange on the board and seems quite obvious.

It's the ACPI module. It's located on S1 (position).

I located the bios file and the manual. My motherboard is v1.0, but I’m unsure about the download process. I found it on the official site using the search term "emx MCP61S-AVL" (though I’m not certain it’s the right version). Also, there’s a file named "NVIDIA MCP61 Series_Ver1.0 (2).pdf EMX-MCP61S-AVL BIOS.rar."
