Recent 7-minute startup on my PC from the day before
Hey there, I’m trying to figure out what’s going on with my PC setup. So far, I’ve put together a list of components: CoolerMaster TD500 Mesh V2 I5-12600K, Coolermaster Halo 212 cooler, MSI B760 Tomahawk w/WIFI, MSI Ventus 2x 3060, CoolerMaster MWE Gold 850 V2, Corsair VENGENCE 32GB DDDR5, Toshiba 240 GB SSD, and a Sandisk 2TB SSD. After installing everything and updating to Windows 11, I’m still facing some issues. It takes over six minutes to get to the login screen, and shutdowns take nearly two minutes. Once it boots, things run smoothly—games launch perfectly at full settings. The boot drive is my 240 GB SSD, which was also the previous PC’s drive. Fast boot is turned on, and I’ve optimized startup by disabling app launches. I’ve verified all connections are secure, no lights are blinking on the motherboard, and everything seems to be working well. Any tips or advice would be super helpful!
Didn't you perform a new Windows installation after assembling your PC? What kind of SSD are you using? If you've already invested heavily, consider getting an NVMe drive and installing Windows there—no need for a full transfer. Good luck!
Thanks for the update, it seems the SSD connection had some issues.
