Receiving BSOD upon startup even when not playing games
Over the past year and a half, my PC occasionally experiences random BSoD messages. These can appear as IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL, kernel security checks, and other similar alerts. I don’t recall the exact start date, but I remember installing ReviOS 10 after a chipset driver update. After a month, it resumed working, though the time between BSODs varied—sometimes just minutes, other times a week. Following a BIOS update between November 2020 and October 2023, the system behaved strangely; the game mode in BIOS failed, so I had to clear CMOS to reset it. Eventually, I reinstalled Windows 10 after fixing M.2 SSD issues. To avoid BSOD during boot, I had to run OOBE. After that, I reinstalled ReviOS and managed to get things running again. Now I struggle to open my desktop properly and install drivers correctly. I ran a memory check with no errors, and the NVMe self-test also passed. Anyone have any insights or suggestions? I’m also unsure if I can capture error dumps quickly.
Not necessarily, each installation may involve changes to the operating system.
It wasn't that way. Initially I installed Windows 10 Pro, later upgraded to Windows 11. Following that, I mainly used ReviOS 10 to ReviOS 11 and then switched back to ReviOS 10.
The problem came from the BIOS version. I had to revert back to build 2020-11-30.
