I've only run about ten minutes of Star Marine after downloading, but I observed a few points. 1. The game writes to my hard drive at roughly 5 to 15 MB/s, which the task manager displays. Is this typical? 2. I’m using low graphics settings, yet it slows down slightly when my CPU hits nearly full (i5-4460). It’s usually smooth but sometimes lags or freezes. Can I improve performance? 3. Motion blur is a bother for me—I don’t like it. Is there a way to turn it off?
1) it will vary but yeah thats fine, the game is going to be high end when it comes out and its not even remotely done yet 2) the graphics settings dont do much yet they are mostly focusing on content 3) hit the tilde key (the little ` above your tab button) when in game and type in. r_motionblur = 0 bonus: if you want to get rid of vsync because its more of a nuisance type in: r_vsync = 0

During the trial period, I experienced higher FPS at medium settings compared to low settings.
