Received my latest PC, but Windows is causing blackouts and slowdowns.
This occurs starting from the second boot after attempting driver installation and PC restart. Windows has been reinstalled multiple times yet the issue persists each time. I've tried connecting my monitor to the built-in graphics, suspecting a GPU problem, but it hasn't resolved the matter. Any suggestions would be welcome. 20250513_194453.mp4
When the computer freezes, it usually restarts itself or you need to power it off and on again. If it’s the latter, check if it’s still active before rebooting. A simple test is pressing the num-lock or caps-lock key—if the keyboard lights up and then fade, the system is likely responding. In Windows, open Event Viewer, go to Windows Logs > System, and review the logs. Most entries are technical, but you might spot red or amber alerts that clarify what happened. After a black screen, note the time and examine the logs when you’re back in Windows for more details.
It seems you're referring to a warning about a critical issue that might have been overlooked. This is completely normal. The situation is just part of the process leading up to it.
I ran the PC on overnight updates and driver patches via Gigabyte’s tools, kept the GPU disconnected. In the morning I reached out to support, scheduled a checkup, and then reactivated the GPU just in case. Now it’s working. That’s good—I do have a functional GPU. The downside is I still don’t know what caused the issue.
