I attempted to upgrade the WNDR3400 using dd-wrt firmware, but after rebooting it still showed a solid amber power light. I couldn't ping the router for more than two seconds each time. I've tried 30/30/30 and TFTP without success. Did I do something wrong?

Fixing a damaged flash will need some adjustments: https://www.stevejenkins.com/blog/2014/0...wrt-flash/ The good news is you won’t need to solder anything.
