I shared my Gentoo journey a while ago, but now I’ve switched to Arch after getting a new ThinkPad. To save time and effort, I chose Arch instead of recompiling or copying data. It’s been working well for me. The ThinkPad’s battery life is poor, but I wouldn’t blame Arch for that—it’s tough running on the 3080 and i9 with such a device.

I find laptops featuring powerful GPUs really intriguing. My dad uses one with a 4060 8GB RAM, and it amazes me how much performance fits in such a compact device. Super interesting!

What display dimensions are suitable? I wonder if smaller icons fit on typical laptop screens. Unless you're connecting a separate monitor, I assume so.

I believe the screenshot indicates a size of 16 inches, which is a large display but demands sharp vision, hehe.

I saved the image to enable full-screen viewing on my 24-inch display, but it remained quite tiny.

The same issue occurred with my 27-inch screen, where icons worked but the font size was really small.

16in is what the other person said. Everything is configured at 120% scale.

Have you noticed something similar? What does that mean?
