I've been checking the setup and it looks like a modest performance boost on the GTX 980's clock speeds, but once I go beyond 100, the Heaven benchmark crashes. Running it at 100 works fine for both the benchmark and some games. If I set it to 100, everything seems stable. Any tips for optimizing this GPU? This is my first time doing a GPU overclock.

The "SC" model refers to super clocked. It has already been factory overclocked and stability verified.

I understood it was meant for super clocked, but I wasn't sure it referred to factory order. Thank you!

No issue. A few might allow more overclocking, but the SC version ensures the chip will operate at the factory overclock speed. Each chip is unique, just like CPUs. Adding a liquid cooler could push it slightly higher, though it might not be worth the effort and cost for a couple hundred MHz.
