You recently received your 5070 card and everything is functioning well, especially with improved FPS and settings. I tested RDR2 to see if performance would be even better, and Red Dead Rocked performed well two days ago on an 8GB system. Now I’m curious about the memory issues—despite having 4GB more in my system, I’m still experiencing out-of-memory errors. I changed the launcher settings to use Vulkan, cleared the DirectX shader cache, increased the page file size, and updated drivers (572.83). The only solution that helped was disabling Steam Overlay. However, it’s frustrating because the game freezes with ERR_GFX_STATE when I move around for a few seconds. I’ve rebooted multiple times, checked the game files, and even reinstalled it without success. Someone suggested deleting SGA files in the document folder, but that didn’t work either. Could this be related to driver problems or something else?

RDR2 experiences a recognized memory issue when using Vulkan with RDNA2 graphics cards, and it appears similar problems might affect other types as well.

It's possible RDR2 employs PhysX, though it may no longer be supported in the 50th series.

I believe I discovered a fix. I started the game without enabling the Steam overlay, then went to settings and switched from DirectX 12 to Vulkan. After that, I activated the Steam overlay again and attempted to launch the game; it ran smoothly for about 20 minutes before crashing.
