RDR2 Disable Cloud Safe!

Hey.
Just a heads-up about cloud safing—it might mess with your safes and stop loading manual safes from your drive. If you lose connection, a popup will appear asking what to do. By then, it's usually too late.
I lost 8 hours and couldn't get the Game to load my non-cloud safes at all.
Launcher->settings->RDR2

Have you attempted to use the Shadow Copy backup that Windows creates daily? Right-click the save game folder, select Properties, then go to the Previous Versions tab, and click Open.

I always back up my safe folder after each session. I have done this for years with every game. RDR2 doesn't work with them. Even after I cut the internet cable and removed all unrelated safes, it was still strange. Now I played again and turned off the cloud safe.

cfg.dat
cloudsavedata.dat
KeyMappings
Player
ProfileSettings

It's unusual, but many users can easily access someone else's saved files.
Consider using the Shadow Copy backup method.

I understand it's unusual. The issue was with the Launcher, not the Files. Thanks for your response. Turning off the cloud safe feature might help prevent more problems.

Thank you for the alert, I won't want to miss My Max Payne saves. (I haven't purchased RDR2 yet; I'll buy it soon after the bugs are fixed)

Besides this bothersome occurrence, the game performs quite well. The LOD is exceptional, even compared to Rockstar standards.
