I want a Razer blade 15 since it looks good. The construction feels solid. I don’t play games much, but I’d like a reliable machine. My budget is between $1000 and $2000. Should I go for the base model with GTX 1060 or RTX 2060? Also, are there any suggestions for refurbished options? I really like Razer.

There are significantly better laptops available at lower prices. I'm not very familiar with gaming laptops, but a Thinkpad would be a solid choice if you don't require a lot of GPU power.

I appreciate the Thinkpad, yet I am drawn to the design of razer blade.

Razer isn't great, the thermal fix was poor. The 2019 is okay but not top-notch. And the build quality is decent......
for a powerful machine, I usually choose the Y540, Y740 or Asus ROG.

Purchasing a poor product just because you like its look is a huge mistake. Even buying a Razer laptop shouldn't be the case, no matter your taste. Get a reliable machine instead of something flashy but unreliable.

Thanks to the design, the display looks great. However, the cooling is decent. We're not ready for intense gaming yet. There are also many other things to explore.

Because I don't play games often, I believe I don't require top-tier cooling. I prefer a slim laptop that still works well.

I don't have a clear preference, but I can help you decide based on your needs.

GTX if you wish to keep costs down. I meant I personally don't rely on RTX since its main goal is to use ray-tracing technology, which really puts a big strain on everything.
