Randomly triggers crashes in various manners. May indicate an issue with the SSD.
I've been facing occasional problems where my computer shuts down or freezes unpredictably. The crashes vary: sometimes it freezes completely, requiring a forced shutdown; other times it restarts on its own without warning. Occasionally it displays the blue screen error and attempts to restart. The issue can last for hours or repeat rapidly—sometimes multiple times in a row. I repeatedly run the disk repair tool, but it keeps looping without success. Sometimes the installation fails entirely. During repairs, the computer may crash or fail to boot properly. After turning it on, fans initially spin up to full speed before slowing down and the system boots again. However, at other times fans run constantly at 100% and the installation halts, forcing another shutdown. I've attempted to update firmware on my SSD, but the BIOS remains unchanged. I'm unsure if a BIOS update would resolve this or if reinstalling Windows is necessary. Current specs: Windows 10, 64-bit, 2 years old; BIOS from American Megatrandes Inc. I've checked the minidump file, though I'm not sure if it will assist. Let me know if you have any additional details that could help.
