Randomly displaying VGA debug LED
Randomly displaying VGA debug LED
I recently assembled a new PC but occasionally see the VGA debug LED flash randomly, appearing about once every five times. Restarting resolves the issue completely. After booting, everything functions smoothly except for the VGA LED sometimes showing up intermittently.
Here are my specs:
- AMD Ryzen 7 9700X
- MSI B650 Gaming+ with Wi-Fi
- G Skill Trident RAM 16*2 @ 6000MHz
- Intel RX 9070 XT Sapphire Pure
- 2TB SSD in WD Blue
- Cooler Master 850W MWE Fully Modular PSU
- Purchased about a week ago; after changing RAM frequency back to 4800, the system didn’t boot properly. I cleared the CMOS and it now works fine, but the VGA LED still appears randomly 1 out of 5 times. Please help—I spent a lot on this setup.
Hello there! Here’s what you need to know about your setup.
Are you using the latest BIOS for your motherboard?
Your RAM kit is a Skill Trident model with 16 slots and a speed of 6000MHz.
Do you have any details about the RAM package you used?
I purchased items from a physical shop and can provide images of the boxes. It includes RGB black clock RAM sticks. I also updated the motherboard BIOS to the latest version via the MSI website.
