The oddity started when assembling the PC. For the first time with a GPU like this (and after reading similar 6900xt guides online), I began by connecting just two 8-pin cables to test. It would frequently shut down in BIOS and the motherboard diagnostic VGA LED lit up. It wasn’t until a friend suggested using a third 8-pin cable to complete the slot that things stabilized. A surge of relief followed as everything seemed to function smoothly. Doubt lingered about whether this caused lasting harm to my GPU. 2. Temperatures from AMD Adrenalin (more detailed tests possible later, but readings appear normal) CPU Idle - 35°C GPU Idle - 40°C CPU Apex Legends (near maximum) - 55°C GPU Apex Legends (near max) - 70°C 3. Possible Solutions Turned off and on BAR Turned off and on XMP Turned off C-state in BIOS Turned off Hardware Acceleration in Chrome (noted I often have YT/Twitch running on secondary display) Replaced PSU-GPU connectors, updated drivers from Corsair site - https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Monitor/M27Q...-dl-driver FreeSync Premium on Main monitor off PBO on/off Enabled Undervolt in Adrenalin This seems like a typical issue I’ve seen, especially with dual monitors. I suspect it’s not hardware-related but I’m not sure. In frustration, I’m reaching out for guidance and any tips would be greatly appreciated.
