I switched my GPU from an old RX480 to a newer RX590, which wasn’t a big upgrade. What mattered most was a reliable system, especially since my RX480 kept crashing the drivers constantly. After installing the RX590, it worked fine for a while—about an hour or so. Then the system crashed and the CPU lights appeared on the motherboard. This has happened before with my 1050TI and previous RX480 models. A simple restart should fix it. These reboots usually occur only a couple times a year. Now it’s restarted again, but it’s lighting up the “boot” LED. I’m starting to suspect the SSD might be failing, possibly causing both the driver issues and crashes. I also have two old HDDs in RAID for backups. I could consider updating the BIOS on the motherboard or try a clean Windows 10 installation (W11 beta) before making any changes.

Did you review the SMART data for the SSD or perform any tests to identify potential issues?

I resolved Windows 10 around 6-7 hours ago, and it's been quite reliable now. No more unexpected shutdowns or driver issues. It seems it should recover eventually as more data is written to the disk.

Consider using tools such as Crystal Disk Info or Speccy to examine the SMART data at least
