Have you experimented with previous CPUs or GPUs? It seems the latest GPU could be faulty, possibly requiring an RMA similar to what I faced with mines. How long have you been using the power supply? Also, consider switching to a fresh surge protector and power cable for extra assurance.

I discovered another method to recreate the issue. Attempted to let my sister enjoy Poppy's Playtime, and the system failed right away. Tried playing with and without Auto OC enabled in Ryzen Master, but it crashed twice. I captured a datalog using HwInfo64 during the crash. The peak CPU draw reached around 50 watts, while the GPU peaked at about 100 watts. All three rails (12v, 3.3v, 5v) showed no significant voltage changes. It seems this game shouldn't be stressing my system, yet it crashes every time I click settings in the menu. In Silent Hill 4 on the emulator, the crash happens only when opening a save and navigating to the overworld. The Windows Event Viewer lists an ID of 41, which isn’t very informative. The HwInfo64 log is under a minute and a half, so a fresh perspective might spot something I missed. Thanks ppp.CSV

This doesn't happen during simple web browsing, right? Which applications are active in the background? Antivirus software?

Sure thing. Here’s a revised version:

I’m okay with simple productivity tasks. Just a few browser tabs open in Brave and the GitHub FanControl tool. Recently, I attempted to run User Benchmark for a post on Reddit—it was necessary there. The system froze when it reached the GPU. Furmark caused immediate crashes too. I discovered that RE2 Remake uses an RTX chip, so I played it at full settings with RTX enabled, 1080p and unlocked frame rate. Between CPU and GPU usage, I was drawing around 400 watts, significantly higher than usual for emulators, but everything stayed under 70°C stable. I’m wondering if there’s something unusual going on with the drivers. Maybe I could test my girlfriend’s 5700XT for a day to see if it still behaves this way.

I’d test it without Brave Browser and the Fan Control feature, particularly the latter. I’d also confirm Brave is updated and that no other antivirus software is installed, except Defender.

System is still experiencing crashes despite testing. Consider using a recovery tool or performing a clean install.
