Right away after turning on my PC, it displays around 22GB of RAM in use. Very few programs seem to require much memory. I’ve attached some pictures. It appears no updates are running at the moment. This issue began today. I’ve restarted the PC several times, but it still keeps showing this high RAM usage. If anyone has suggestions or knows how to resolve it, please let me know.

Here are your updated results following the recent program runs. I'm using a 64GB system with Windows 11. It seems another process might be active—have you checked the Windows update log?

It seems the issue lies in the fact that the open programs don't display the 26GB usage.

It seems you're curious about the frequent use of the In-Use number in startups. You're wondering if this is typical and whether you've reviewed your App History or the detailed breakdowns for a clearer picture.

History and details appeared okay initially. Replaced the current RAM with a spare, which resolved the problem. However, once the faulty RAM was reinstalled, it reappeared. Unclear what caused it, but I think I’ll need to replace the RAM again.

Use Process Explorer in the Sysinternals tools to examine memory usage. This provides clearer insights.

Have you checked the memory diagnostics? Your BIOS might support it, or you could use the Windows version.
