I assembled this system around nine months ago and everything functioned flawlessly until recently. Occasionally the machine slows down and freezes entirely, requiring a restart via the case button. This only occurs when multiple applications run simultaneously—such as Chrome, Discord, and Spotify—but not when a game is active. This led me to suspect a Chrome-related issue, so I tried Firefox temporarily, but the problem continued. The most accurate description of the issue is that specific elements fail to load, like YouTube thumbnails, and attempting to close or minimize tabs results in either complete failure or a frozen state, except for basic input devices. On Windows Event Viewer, a critical kernel error (ID 41) is recorded. This isn’t limited to web browsers; it also affects Discord or Spotify at times. I have 32 GB of RAM, which should support multiple tabs, and I recently updated both my BIOS and drivers. I’m unsure what steps to take and would appreciate any guidance. Thank you.

Discord and Spotify work through web browsers even though they have their own dedicated apps. I’d check clearing my browser caches and temporary files. I’d also remove and reinstall the browsers, extensions, Spotify, and Discord. If many tasks are running when it freezes, a memory issue might be the cause. You could also try reseating the device to see if that resolves the problem.

I can't capture images or access real-time system data like CPU temperatures or debug logs directly. Please check your Windows Event Viewer for details and monitor CPU stats using Task Manager. If you notice unusual lights or codes, verify your BIOS, drivers, and updates.

Consider using a clean boot environment. If this resolves the issue, you can maintain the current setup or gradually add Startup or Services items until performance problems appear, helping identify the cause.
