Random Freeze followed by a crash, an unbootable drive and then undetected RAM. Now it functions properly?
I encountered a problem during startup where my computer would become unresponsive for some time before resuming. I wasn’t sure what was behind it since I hadn’t made any changes. I checked the Event Viewer and found this entry:

After roughly a week, while using Chrome, my PC would freeze completely, cutting out the screen midway, and then I couldn’t boot. When I tried to start it again, it showed this message:

I didn’t notice any errors or critical issues in the Event Viewer logs, and the reliability history only recorded an unexpected shutdown.
I opened BIOS and switched the boot device to verify it was using the correct drive, even disconnecting my other HDD. After that, the system wouldn’t boot and required turning it off, pressing the reset button, holding it, removing the RAM, and reinserting it. It booted but only recognized 16GB out of 32GB (one of two drives). I then attempted to boot with just one stick, which worked, while the other failed. I thought this suggested a dead RAM module, but after replacing it yesterday (it had been out), the system detected both sticks and passed a memtest86+ at 3200MHz as expected.
The RAM I suspect might be faulty in my previous system, so I swapped it into mine to test. It functioned without problems until recently. Now that it passed the test, I’m uncertain what to check next. The Windows logs indicate a hardware issue, but I don’t know what it is. The blue screen of death doesn’t appear in the Event Viewer, and the SFC scan shows no errors.

Could it be that the power supply unit failed, which explains the unexpected shutdown despite Windows functioning normally? It has never caused problems before. Still, I’m puzzled by those other freezing errors that also affected my PC.
Do you have any suggestions on tests or components to investigate further? I’ve confirmed nothing is physically damaged, and everything is operating within specifications.
The Thermaltake 500 watt PSU has been in use for a long time, possibly for gaming, video editing, or even bit-mining. The issue might have begun around June 29th. Check the built-in Windows troubleshooters, and run "sfc /scannow" and "dism" for repairs.
I received the psu brand new in 2019, mainly used for gaming, ai training, video editing, and some image processing tasks like frame stacking for astrophotography. For gaming, it's mostly been esports titles and games such as planet coaster, city skylines, and minecraft. Yes, all those and they didn't find anything. Also, while playing valorant with discord open just now my pc randomly shut down and started updating, then restarted and kept updating again before restarting once more. After that it said cleaning up. I checked the event viewer to see if anything new appeared and found this error message:

It now seems to indicate a cpu issue?
