Long ago, my old PSU damaged my GPU and HDD during a power surge. Now I experience random freezes—especially when audio plays, causing constant buzzing—and I can't even restart the system. The only solution was holding the power button for several minutes. I've tried various fixes, checked my RAM with software (though I don’t remember the name), but everything seems fine. This issue occurs on fresh Windows installs too, without a graphics card, and it happens in both Windows and Ubuntu. It usually happens once or twice a week. I’m 99% confident it’s related to my motherboard or CPU. I found a 3770 board for $60 online and wondered if testing it would help. Any suggestions on how to identify the problem?
