kanewolf :
What is the configured swap (pagefile) size?
250-250mb on the hdd
That might be the issue. Increase it to 8GB fixed size. I still prefer a 16GB pagefile with 16GB RAM on my own system.

kanewolf : What is the current configuration of your swap (pagefile)?
250-250mb on the hdd – maybe this is the issue. Try increasing it to 8GB fixed size. I still prefer a 16GB pagefile with 16GB RAM on my setup.
Do you think having 32GB of RAM would prevent using a pagefile?

I don’t understand. I realize there’s no need to avoid having a pagefile. The operating system includes it by default as a resource, so skipping it isn’t necessary.

windows operates as a paging OS, when you disable the pagefile it will allocate RAM and generate an internal pagefile within your memory. it can only grow to a certain extent and may show some issues with specific applications or drivers.
