I recently added four RAM sticks, but my computer still crashes and goes black after a short time.
Current specifications:
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600,
GPU: RTX 3080 FE,
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M K (Rev 1.0),
Power Supply: MSI MAG A750BN Bronze 80

this ram is a complete set, assembled together in one package. or is it a combination of different types?
was this a fresh build or did you upgrade after adding more memory?
could you share more details about the process so we can understand the issue better and find a solution?

Yes, the RAM is a matched set and this appears to be a fresh build except for the CPU and GPU, which I obtained from my previous setup. It's functioning well with two sticks, but using four causes resets or results in a black screen. Thank you very much for taking the time to assist me—I really value your help. 😀

All four sticks functioned on a different motherboard. They should originate from the same batch. This isn't two separate sets, but rather four in one. I'm assuming the RAM is a kit of four and verified its compatibility with the new motherboard. Does that align with your understanding?

so it functions with two but not four. that's a beginning nonetheless. ryzen is famous for ram problems.
the usual way to attempt fixing them is to gradually increase the sticks at stock speed. if two work, try adding a third and check if it boots and stays stable. then add the fourth only if the third succeeds. i don't understand why but this seems to assist the system in detecting and setting up multiple sticks.
fill A1 and B1 slots, then insert a third into A2, and finally place the fourth in B2, hoping they'll all be recognized.
if all four function, you can attempt XMP profiles only after everything is stable. you might need to manually boost the speed and see the limits. four sticks will never match the performance of two, so it may not reach full advertised speed.

a nice touch. i didn't think about whether the voltage needed tweaking. after doing it countless times, it's hard to remember what you're actually doing.
