It might be worth considering if the speed of the infinity fabric plays a role.
Updated: Ran Cinbench for an HR with RAM on X.M.P profile. Executed Prime 95 all tests in 30 minutes using a 3200Mhz X.M.P PC; it didn’t shut down. This suggests the CPU, memory controller, infinity fabric, and RAM might not be the issue. The shutdown could relate to the earlier problem I experienced. I’ll follow up after running GTA 5 for a short time without internet, then test battle royale games that require it.
Performed a Cinebench+Heaven test for roughly 30 minutes without interruptions, using an XMP profile. It seems the PSU isn't affecting performance. Attempted a reboot to restart the process.
I don't have the exact rank. I'll check the sticker info on the RAM module to find that out. After rebooting, I ran "Ran heaven + cinebench for 20mins after reboot with X.M.P enabled" and it worked fine. Now I'm going to try playing Apex next.
I'm still experiencing the same issue with my PC—only a black screen and normal reboots. I'll keep you informed about how it's developing, even though it's the same problem on another machine.
It can also occur when turning on X.M.P. Which RAM modules and motherboard are installed?
I made the 3200Mhz XMP setting earlier this morning. I ran a lot of stress tests and played Apex for at least two hours, everything went smoothly until recently. Just before the issue occurred, the PC shut down when I started the game. After rebooting, I didn’t switch the OC profile—just booted in with XMP enabled, expecting another shutdown until I changed it back to 2133Mhz. I managed to record the problem on video.
