Previously, you clearly needed an EXPO kit since enabling XMP alone would usually cause instability. With the latest BIOS updates, most issues have been resolved and it’s generally safe to proceed. Unless you update your BIOS, it should function properly—manually setting XMP parameters might still work even on older versions.
