Hello, I’m not sure if I’m at the right place for my query. I own an ASUS G541gt laptop and want to upgrade the RAM. I’m unsure what to order since the existing RAM is a Samsung 8GB 2666DDR4 in single channel. Could you confirm if this model has a free RAM slot for upgrading? Also, can I use Crucial or another brand and run it in dual-channel mode at the same frequency? I’m planning for school use and light gaming like CS, but I need 16GB for virtual computing. Check the memory slots closely—this model seems to offer two options. It should be straightforward to upgrade RAM, and it’s convenient to access with just a small screwdriver. If it’s a single 8GB stick, make sure it matches exactly; verify the serial number on the sticker against the information on the link. While you don’t need an exact match, doing so is always preferable.
