Ram supported by i3 8100
The 8100 officially supports 2400mhz, but the motherboard can increase it. It is an added feature, more expensive motherboards can support higher frequency RAM.
But the fact is, Intel does not see a big jump in performance from increased RAM speed. Past 3000 you wont see much if any performance gains. 2666 is a sweet spot. So I would not worry too much about it and get the cheaper RAM.

Thank you! Do you know if there are any RAM compatibility problems with the Intel i3 8100? RAM tends to be a bit tricky, but Intel generally offers better support than AMD. It should not be a major concern. To confirm compatibility, check your motherboard’s website, find the support section, and look up the memory list. This will show which memory models have been tested and confirmed to work with that board. Just note that using RAM not listed doesn’t guarantee failure—it only means it’s safe to use. If unsure, buying a standard DDR4 kit from a reputable brand like Gskill or Crucial should work well.
