Hello, here are your questions rephrased:
1. Is it possible to use 3600MHz RAM with my i7 8700K processor?
2. With the current setup of a 3000MHz CL15 Kit (two 8GB modules), is it beneficial to upgrade to a 3600MHz CL18 Kit (also two 8GB)? Any advice would be great.

1. Yes. 2. Your current kit has a CAS latency of 10ns, the DDR4-3600 CL18 kit has a CAS latency of 10ns. So no difference there, however the 3600 kit of course has 20% more memory bandwidth. Will that improve performance noticeably? Not in the great majority of workloads. I think you're fine with the DDR4-3000 CL15.
