Hello friends I'm using a Corsair Vengeance pro RGB RAM kit. Some people have shared that the RGB stays active and runs its programmed light display even when the system is in sleep mode. It's clear that sleep mode keeps the RAM powered up regardless of RGB settings. Since my room isn't shared, I don’t worry about family members enjoying the light show at night. I’ve noticed it’s fun to watch the RAM flicker red and blue, especially during laser shows. I’m considering using sleep mode more often now that I own this $600 RAM upgrade. I just want to make sure it doesn’t negatively affect my RAM performance. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

RAM works nonstop for years, so turning it on or off when you're away doesn’t matter much. It’s completely safe. Just let me know you didn’t spend $600 on Vengeance Pro, okay?

It should work fine most of the time. I've had a solid hard drive for around four years before switching to an SSD, and I kept my PC in sleep mode most of the year. The RAM is built to last a long time, so everything should be okay.

Computers can operate continuously without issues. Switching them on and off may actually increase wear over time.
