Ram remains locked at 2133MHz despite DOCP application
motherboard, RAM, and CPU. Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming X570 Plus RAM: VENGEANCE LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM at 3600MHz C18; CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. I followed all the steps I thought were necessary, but after enabling DOCP, the memory status still shows both sticks at 2133MHz instead of 3600MHz. Could be a compatibility issue or something I can try in BIOS to resolve?
The menu includes only auto, manual, and DCOP; EXPO isn't listed.
Have you rebooted? Sometimes you need a reboot for DOCP profiles to show up. EXPO won't work here. That's AMD's DDR5 auto OC.
I switched it off and on several times, saved the BIOS, but haven’t configured Windows yet. I powered down and restarted, then tried disabling DOCP and re-enabling it. The system indicates a DOCP profile exists, though the DRAM setting remains stuck at 2133MHz.
The Corsair LPX previously faced issues with DOCP. Both controllers fit into the grey slots on the motherboard. Switching to a 2666 MHz clock speed should still work.
2666 remains unchanged even after saving settings. It’s still stuck at 2133. Don’t forget the BIOS version 4403—just in case it arises later.
Unintentionally entered an incorrect RAM name in the topic. The correct RAM is now available. I’ll attempt manual entry, as I’m concerned about compatibility and fear I might have selected the wrong one. I’ll proceed with manual input now.
